Candidate for Local 344 President

A proud Detroit resident for 27 consecutive years, Grant Lancaster has dedicated his life to service, leadership, and community. After successfully completing the Detroit Fire Academy in 2000, Lancaster has served with honor for 25 years—bringing professionalism, dedication, and compassion to every call and engine house.

Since 2012, Lancaster has served as a Fire Engine Operator, ensuring the safety and readiness of his crew and equipment. Truth. Honesty. Transparency.

My campaign is built on one clear mission:

Building a better Union— strong, connected, and respected.

Grant Lancaster For Local 344 President

For 25 years, I’ve proudly served the City of Detroit as a firefighter. I’ve seen firsthand the strength of our brotherhood and sisterhood — and I’ve also seen where we’ve lost connection, communication, and unity. As your next Local 344 President, I am committed to strengthening our union through transparency, communication, and inclusion. My focus is on building a stronger connection between leadership and membership, while ensuring that every firefighter has a voice and the resources we deserve.

It’s time to bring that back.
